Ultraviolette has launched a new electric motorcycle called the X-47 Crossover, expanding its presence in the Indian market. The bike has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom), which will be later increased to Rs 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the EV maker's announcement, the electric motorcycle is available for bookings, and the deliveries will begin on October 25.

Starting with the visuals, the motorcycle seems to be an adventure tourer at first glance. Taking a closer look, it seems like the design of the headlight has been borrowed from the F77. All of this has been complemented by an angular design merging with the single-piece seat. It is worth mentioning that the body has been designed using cast Aluminium. Additionally, there is a windscreen to protect the rider from the wind blasts. With all of this, the brand is also offering a special Desert Wing edition.

Furthermore, the brand has given the bike a few elements that signify its off-road use, including a rather high handlebar with knuckle guards. To make things better, the brand will offer accessories like panniers, auxiliary lights, and more. All of this is supported by a Casted (space-age) subframe seat.

Looking at the features, the bike gets radar technology supporting ADAS features called UV Hypersense as standard across all variants. This is a first for the segment and offers a 150-degree front view, a 68-degree rear vertical, and 200 m of tracking distance. It also brings rear collision warning, lane change assist, overtake alerts, and more. Additionally, the bike has been equipped with features like dual-channel ABS, four-level traction control, 9-level regen, dynamic stability control, and tow alter among other things.

To interact with the motorcycle, it comes with a new screen which offers new information like dynamic lean angle, connectivity, and more, along with essentials like speed, range, odometer, and more. This is supported by a secondary screen, which gives the output of the ADAS features. All of this is distributed in three variants: Laser, Airstrike, and Shadow.

In terms of mechanics, the motorcycle gets USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking power comes from a single disc at the front end, while the rear end gets a single disc brake.

The Ultraviolette X-47 comes with a 10.7 kWh battery pack. It offers an IDC range of 323 km on a single charge and works with an electric motor producing 40 hp of power and 610 Nm torque at the wheel. Using the power, the bike can go from 0-100 kmph in 8.1 seconds, while the top speed is limited at 145 kmph.

The battery can be charged using a 1.6 kW onboard charger and is an air-cooled unit that sits inside the chassis of the motorcycle. It gets features like surge protection, earth leakage protection, and more.
