TVS XL100 Heavy Duty Introduced With Alloy Wheels

TVS has added a new variant of the XL100 to the lineup called the XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy. This iteration of the two-wheeler has been introduced with tubeless tyres wrapped on alloy wheels, improving its functionality. With this, it comes at Rs 59,800 (ex-showroom). This makes it the most expensive variant of the model, and it is placed at the top of the lineup. Apart from this, the model has four other variants.

The addition of alloy wheels gives the TVS XL100 Heavy Duty a different look; the aesthetic change is complemented by the presence of three colour options: red, blue, and grey. Meanwhile, the rest of the design details are the same, with a flat seat, a round headlamp, and a slightly raised handlebar.

The XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy shares the same mechanical specifications as the rest of the lineup, featuring a 99.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 4.3 hp of power and 6.5 Nm of peak torque. The rest of the mechanics are also identical, including the telescopic front suspension and dual shock absorbers at the rear end. Similarly, the braking power is maintained through drum brakes on both ends.

The new wheel configurations have not affected the kerb weight, with this version weighing the same as three other XL 100 models at 89kg, and only the base XL 100 Heavy Duty being 1kg lighter. Other notable features include an LED headlight, a detachable rear seat, an easy on-off switch, a black muffler, a mobile charging facility, and more.

With all of this, the XL100 holds a distinctive position in the Indian market, lacking direct competitors, but the nearest alternative is the electric Kinetic e-Luna, priced between Rs 69,990 and Rs 82,490.
