Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that the Innova HyCross has crossed the 2 lakh cumulative sales milestone in India, underlining the MPV's strong popularity in the premium people-mover space. The model, which was launched in November 2022, continues to be one of Toyota's strongest volume drivers in the country, backed by rising demand for hybrid mobility solutions. Recent wholesale trends had already indicated strong momentum for the HyCross, with the MPV accounting for a growing share of total Innova sales.
Built on Toyota's TNGA platform, the Innova HyCross has steadily appealed to both family buyers and chauffeur-driven customers by combining MPV practicality with SUV-like styling and modern features. A major contributor to its success has been the 5th-generation self-charging strong hybrid system, paired with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. Toyota claims a combined output of 186 PS, while the hybrid setup can run in EV mode for a significant part of city driving, helping improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.

The HyCross is also offered with a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 174 PS, giving buyers a wider range of choices depending on budget and usage needs.
Beyond the powertrain, the model's popularity has been driven by its premium second-row comfort features, including powered Ottoman seats, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, connected car technology, and ADAS-based Toyota Safety Sense. Its 5-star BNCAP safety rating has further strengthened its position in the premium MPV segment.

Priced from Rs 19.53 lakh (ex-showroom), the Innova HyCross has emerged as one of India's most successful premium hybrid MPVs, especially as customer preference shifts toward petrol-hybrid technology over traditional diesel MPVs. This shift has been visible in sales trends too, with the HyCross steadily increasing its share within the Innova lineup over the past year.
