In terms of performance, the GR Sport has a 10mm lowered suspension for better handling. The Sport mode for the e-CVT gearbox has also been adjusted for quicker acceleration and deceleration. These changes aim to make driving this model more engaging compared to the standard version.
Toyota considered launching the Corolla Cross in India, with plans for production at its Karnataka plant by June 2026. Sharing the TNGA-C platform with the Innova Hycross, its projected annual sales of 75,000 units were deemed insufficient for viability, so the Corolla Cross might not be introduced in India.
