Skoda is planning to diversify its Indian portfolio with the launch of the Skoda Octavia RS. While the 'Octavia' nameplate was quite popular in India, the brand pulled the plug on the Octavia in 2023 as it failed to suit the BS6 Phase 2 norms. However, the brand showcased the performance version of the sedan, that is, the Octavia RS, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Now, various media reports have confirmed that the Czech-based automaker will bring the Skoda Octavia RS to India in November 2025.
Skoda will soon roll out the 4th generation models of the Octavia RS in India. It utilises a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, connected to the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. This power mill is capable of churning out a peak power and torque output of 265 hp and 370 Nm. The brand confirms that the RS version of the sedan can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 6.4 seconds and boasts a peak speed limit of 250 kmph.

Skoda Octavia RS Design
Though the Skoda Octavia RS mirrors the standard sedan in appearance, subtle design tweaks highlight its performance focus. The Skoda Octavia RS gets a blacked-out radiator grille, bigger air intakes at the front, and newly designed wheels. The headlamps get projectors and LED DRLs inside with a sharp design, further enhancing the sinister appeal of the sedan.
On the inside, the Octavia RS gets sports seats, highlighted with red accents on the seat, dashboard, and doors that further elevate the 'sports' centric ambience of the cabin. It is also equipped with a flat-bottom steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, centre console with soft-touch buttons, and more.

Skoda Octavia RS Interior
To be available as a CBU in India, the Skoda Octavia RS will be positioned at a premium bracket and is expected to be priced above the Volkswagen Golf GTI, which is available at a starting price of Rs 53 lakh (ex-showroom).
