Nissan is gearing up to launch its new compact SUV in the Indian market. The brand had earlier announced to launch two new SUVs, including a 7-seater SUV and a compact SUV, that has been snapped testing again. Upon arrival, the new Nissan compact SUV will be rivalling the likes of the Hyundai Creta and the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Victoris.
The recently spotted test mule was covered with a black camouflage sheet, hinting at the overall design highlights of the Nissan SUV. On the front, the new Nissan SUV was spotted with the Patrol-inspired fascia, with LED reflectors and L-shaped LED DRLs. The clamshell bonnet, muscular body cladding, and roof rails add up to the aggressive style statement.

On the sides, the new Nissan SUV resembles the new Renault Duster with a boxy silhouette, larger windows, and more. Also, the wheel size appears to be quite larger than the majority of the existing compact SUVs in the Indian market.

While the test vehicle has revealed several exterior highlights of the new Nissan SUV, the interior details are kept under wraps. However, it is expected to be packed with features like a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android integration, Level 2 ADAS, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, six airbags as standard, and more.
While it is too quick to confirm the powertrain details, the new Nissan SUV is expected to get a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol with a 48V mild-hybrid system and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol making 152 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
