Maruti Suzuki Victoris

Maruti Suzuki launched the Victoris SUV in India at a starting price of Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom). To be sold through the Arena dealerships, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris is positioned above the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. The Victoris has also bagged a 5-star safety rating at the Bharat NCAP and the Global NCAP test beds. However, the brand has added ADAS features only to selected variants in the lineup.

The Maruti Suzuki Victoris misses out on ADAS for the hybrid and manual variants. This translates to the fact that Maruti Suzuki has reserved the ADAS features only for higher-end variants, namely ZXi and ZXi (O), which get a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The brand has not stated the exact reason for the ADAS integration for just a few selected variants. One of the probable factors for this could be the aim of keeping the price low. The selected variants of the Maruti Victoris get level-2 ADAS, equipped with a radar and camera, and more. It comes with features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance assist, and a blind spot monitoring system.

Apart from the ADAS features, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris is equipped with safety features like 6 airbags (as standard), ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, and electronic parking brake with auto hold and more.

Talking about the specs, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris borrows powertrain and drivetrain choices from the Grand Vitara. There are two powertrain choices on offer - a 1.5L NA petrol motor and a 1.5L strong-hybrid setup.

The 1.5L NA petrol engine delivers 103 hp against 139 Nm of max torque. It gets two transmission choices - 5-speed MT and 6-speed AT. Also, it gets the option of a factory-fitted CNG kit. In addition, Maruti Suzuki is offering the option of an AWD layout with the automatic transmission. The All Grip Select system features a MultiTerrain Mode Selector with Auto, Snow, Sport, and Lock drive modes and hill descent control.
