Honda CB350 joins Bengaluru Police fleet

Honda India Foundation (HIF) handed over 50 specially equipped CB350 Quick Response Team (QRT) motorcycles to the Karnataka Police in Bengaluru. This initiative is part of Honda's broader goal to support safer communities and work towards a collision-free society by 2050, under its 'Sadak Sahayak: Surakshit Marg, Surakshit Jiwan' program.

According to Honda India Foundation, the QRT motorcycles have been provided to the Karnataka Police to enhance their emergency response efficiency. These bikes will enable officers to reach urgent locations more swiftly, potentially helping save lives and minimise injuries through faster first aid and better scene control.

The QRT motorcycles, based on the Honda CB350, come fitted with revolving flashers, blinkers, a public announcement system, a siren, a flashlight, side and rear storage boxes, and two safety helmets. HIF plans to distribute a total of 300 QRT vehicles across Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh by the end of 2025.

Talking about the engine specs, the Honda CB350 series is powered by a 349 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that is tuned to produce 21 hp of power and 30 Nm of peak torque. This power is transferred to the wheel via a 5-speed gearbox.
