Mercedes-Benz introduced the GLB 7-seat luxury SUV in India back in 2022, but discontinued it earlier in 2025 to pave the way for the next-generation model. The new GLB has now made its global debut with updates including the advanced MMA platform and both EV and ICE options worldwide. While an India launch is confirmed, the exact timeline has not been revealed yet, and unlike the CLA, the GLB will arrive only with petrol and diesel powertrains.

Supporting this setup is a lithium-ion battery pack offering 1.3kWh of usable capacity, enhancing performance while keeping the SUV aligned with modern hybrid technology trends.
