डॉ. विमल मोहन NDTV इंडिया के सीनियर स्पोर्ट्स एडिटर हैं. विमल मोहन का मीडिया इंडस्ट्री में 30 वर्षों से भी लंबा और समृद्ध अनुभव रहा है. उन्होंने अपने करियर की शुरुआत फिल्म निर्माण से की थी, जहां उन्होंने भारतीय सिनेमा के जाने-माने निर्देशकों जैसे प्रकाश झा और रमेश शर्मा के साथ काम किया. NDTV से पहले वह 'मूविंग पिक्चर्स' और 'सहारा समय' जैसे प्रतिष्ठित मीडिया संस्थानों में अपनी सेवाएं दे चुके हैं. विमल मोहन भारत के उन गिने-चुने खेल पत्रकारों में शामिल हैं, जिन्हें देश-विदेश के सबसे बड़े खेल आयोजनों को ऑन-ग्राउंड कवर करने का व्यापक अनुभव है. पीआईबी (PIB) से मान्यता प्राप्त पत्रकार के रूप में उन्होंने लगातार 7 ओलंपिक्स (2000 से 2024) को रिपोर्ट किया है. क्रिकेट विश्व कप, आईपीएल (IPL), एशियाई खेल (Asian Games), कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स (CWG), और हॉकी विश्व कप सहित कई अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं की विस्तृत कवरेज की है. खेल के अलावा वह राजनीतिक और सामाजिक मुद्दों पर भी गहरी और सटीक ग्राउंड रिपोर्टिंग के लिए जाने जाते हैं. विमल को पत्रकारिता के क्षेत्र में भारत के सबसे प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार 'रामनाथ गोयनका एक्सीलेंस इन जर्नलिज्म अवार्ड' (Ramnath Goenka Award) से सम्मानित किया जा चुका है. अकादमिक रूप से भी उनके पास डॉक्टरेट (PhD) की डिग्री है. दीपा कर्माकर पर लिखी उनकी किताब को एशिया की सर्वश्रेष्ठ जीवनी का पुरस्कार मिला. विराट कोहली पर भी उनकी एक चर्चित किताब है. द्रोणाचार्य पुरस्कार समिति 2018 और BBC स्पोर्ट्स अवार्ड्स 2025 की ज्यूरी में भी वे शामिल रहे हैं. खेलों के भीतर की राजनीति, खिलाड़ियों के संघर्ष और जमीनी बुनियादी ढांचे पर उनकी खोजी और तथ्य-आधारित रिपोर्टिंग को खेल जगत में बेहद प्रामाणिक माना जाता है.
