On the 46th Earth Day, showcasing the beauty of our Planet, doodle artist Sophie Diao has sketched out major biomes of Earth, and has portrayed them very attractively on the Google home page.

Sophie Diao chose to highlight Earth's five major biomes: the tundra, forest, grasslands, desert, and coral reefs. These five biomes inspired doodles can be seen in gaps of 15 minutes or by either refreshing the page.

Each illustration has an animal confortable in the vicinity of its habitat. Let's have a look at the various doodles outlined by Ms Diao.

Since 1970, April 22 is celebrated as the Earth Day. It is coordinated by the Earth Day Network, and is celebrated in more than 193 countries.

"Earth Day is the largest, most recognisable face of the environmental movement," said Kathleen Rogers, president of the Earth Day Network.
