A major fire has broken out in an industrial unit in Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area in Thane's Boisar, around 120 kms from Mumbai. Plumes of smoke filled the area as the flames engulfed the entire chemical unit where the fire broke out. Fire tenders have been pressed into service but the blaze has not been brought under control so far.
