These past few days have seen a growing pitch in Pakistan's brinksmanship against the US with General Kayani, alluding to Pakistan's nuclear capability, saying the US will have to think 10 times before launching unilateral strikes against the Haqqanis and other terror groups operating out of Pakistan's tribal areas in North Waziristan. The statements haven't gone down well in Washington. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is on a firefighting mission to the region. She has been capital hopping - first to Kabul to push for a restart of the reconciliation process, and today to Islamabad - holding extremely tense meetings with Pakistan's top leadership.
