President poll: I represent tribal council not NCP, Sangma tells NDTV

For the past few weeks former Lok Sabha Speaker and senior NCP leader PA Sangma has been lobbying for the President's post, arguing that a tribal should be the President. Ironically, his own party has not supported him. Speaking exclusively to NDTV, Mr Sangma says his party is an ally of the UPA and cannot do anything independently, and that he is a part of the tribal convention.
