Team India floors the mighty Aussies in Mohali, win series: how the feat was achieved
It was a clinical performance by India yet again as Australia were no match for the home side. Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay did it with the bat while spinners, Ishant Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar did their bit with the ball in hand.

The first day of the Mohali Test was a complete washout and no one would have banked on any team winning the match, especially with such a good batting wicket. Australia once again won the toss and decided to bat. This time, the openers finally got their act together and India looked frustrated for a while. (BCCI Image)

Ed Cowan and David Warner added 139 for the first wicket and hosts did look a bit rattled but with spinners in form were always hopeful for a turnaround. That is what happened and India managed to take wickets in a heap to constantly pressurise Australia.
Unlike first two Tests though, the visitors rallied with Steven Smith (92) and Mitchell Starc's (99) knocks. India had Gabbar Dhawan in store though. -
After scoring 408 in their first innings, Australia would have thought that they would at least not lose the game. A whirlwind innings from debutant Shikhar Dhawan though changed the complexion altogether. India raced along at around 5 runs an over as Dhawan and Vijay broke several record en route their 289-run stand. Dhawan cracked a quickfire 187 off 174 balls. (BCCI Image)

The major problem for Australia has been that while Indian bowlers have performed in tandem, the Aussie bowlers have failed to do so. Peter Siddle was exceptional with his five-for but Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Starc only impressed in patches. Doherty, Smith and Henriques looked pedestrian at best. (BCCI Image)
