  • David Beckham set temperatures soaring with his shirt-less picture on the cover of the Elle magazine in May 2011. His body-art is on delicious display as he comes out of the water. That he is the first-ever male on the cover of this magazine may just be a detail for many.

  • David Beckham posted a photo of his latest tattoo on his facebook page which has over 35 million followers. The tattoo holds the text "Harper" which is the name of his daughter.
  • Beckham is as famous for his fetish for body art as he is for his antics on the football field. He also tattooed a picture of Jesus sitting on the cross on the right side of his torso. It was revealed when Beckham took off his shirt in a match against Juventus in 2010.
  • 2004 saw Becks get a large winged cross on the back of his neck.
  • The year 2008 was a busy one for Beckham body art. In March of that year the midfielder showed off a large Chinese motif running down his left rib-cage. The text translates as: "Death and life have determined appointments. Riches and honour depend upon heaven."
  • Along with the cross on his neck, Becks got an Angel on his right arm with the motto "In the Face of Adversity".
  • In 2000, David opted to have his wife Victoria's name tattooed in Hindi on his left arm, believing it to be less tacky than having it etched in English.
  • Beckham's left arm became even more crowded towards the end of that year with a line of Hebrew text that reads: “My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart.”
  • Beckham's collection began with the birth of his eldest son, Brooklyn. He had his son's name tattooed across his lower back. The second tattoo was what David called a guardian angel, a human figure with arms outstretched, tattooed across his shoulders and down his spine, looking down over the tattoo of Brooklyn's name. Tattoo session number seven saw the addition of wings to this figure and the addition of his second son's name, Romeo, just above the figure's head.
  • David Beckham stripped down to his skivvies during a game in Los Angeles. And though it was not the first time for the LA Galaxy star, his fans are definitely not complaining.

During his match against FC Dallas, Beckham was made to change his kit for having blood on it.
  • On the field, like any other soccer player, Beckham often takes off his jersey in celebration.
  • Off the ground, Beckham has flaunted his well-toned body for various Ad campaigns. He has also posed in bare minimum with his wife Victoria for Armani and for their own perfume.
  • It is clear that David Beckham exemplifies soccer on and off the field.
