Mumbai, who chose to bat, got off to a brisk start with Sachin Tendulkar and the in-form West Indian Smith. While Smith hit a straight six off a free-hit when Ishant Sharma bowled a no-ball, Sachin hit a couple of 'vintage' boundaries to rattle Steyn. (BCCI Image)

At 31/0 after four overs, Ishant was persisted with by Hyderabad skipper Kumar Sangakkara and it immediately paid double dividend. First to depart was Sachin (14 off 12 balls), when a Sharma delivery stayed a tad low.
A ball later, Dinesh Karthik, who had come in to join Smith at the crease, too joined Sachin in the pavilion. He played a loose shot and the point fielder - Karan Sharma - grasped a simple opportunity off the same bowler.(BCCI Image) -
Sunrisers spinners Mishra and Karan Sharma then tightened the screws as scoring became more and more difficult.
From 41/2 in six overs, the pair added just 19 runs in the next four and that bore effect on what was to follow. In the 11th over, Mishra induced a false stroke from Smith, who was batting on 25 off 33 then. Ishant not only dropped a simple catch at long-off but also toppled the ball over for a six. The Haryana leg-spinner though, did not have to wait too long for his just reward as Rohit was dismissed in his next over, exactly the same way as Smith got his reprieve. He scored 22 off 22 balls. Smith followed suit and too was dismissed lbw, although the replays proved that the ball had hit his glove, off Mishra. (BCCI Image)

Dwayne Smith (38 off 40 balls) was the top-scorer for Mumbai while Ambati Rayudu scored a brisk 34* off 27 at the fag end and Rohit Sharma managed 22. On what was a slow track, the batsmen never got a chance to go into T20 mode while bowlers were efficient enough to keep a tight check on the scoring. (BCCI Image)

Harbhajan Singh, who had been introduced in the fourth over itself, was then hit for a lovely six by Dhawan over covers. Bhajji though, struck in the same over (eighth of Hyderabad's innings) to remove Sanga who handed a simple return catch to depart for 21 off 21 balls. (BCCI Image)

Dhawan then cut loose as Sunrisers collected 15 runs off a Dwayne Smith over. Vihari batted within himself all this while.
The dashing Indian left-hander, well known for his Test debut and mustache, completed another fifty to calm whatever nerves the home dressing-room would have had. (BCCI Image) -
Mumbai also got a scare at the end to round off a bad day for them at the office. Kieron Pollard, trying to take a catch, injured his finger and looked in some pain. Rohit, after the match, said that not all was 'still known' about the injury. (BCCI Image)
