It was defender and Barcelona's recent signing, Jordi Alba who scored the second one for Spain to send shivers amongst the Italian camp. It was Xavi this time with the pass. Gianluigi Buffon once again was a mere spectator.
Iker Casillas ensured that he got a clean sheet in the the final of the Euro 2012. It also meant Italy had all passages blocked for any chance of a recovery.
It was Juan Mata who converted his moments of fame into special magic as a Fernando Torres pass put him on for a simple tap in. This was also the final nail in the Italian coffin.
Spain though had the perfect Euro 2012 final as 4 different players scored goals and Iker Casillas had a clean sheet. The trophy and the celebrations were, quite obviously, euphoric.
