President Zardari and Benazir Bhutto's Ajmer visit in 2005

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, who is going to make his first trip as the state head to India in a shortwhile, had visited the Ajmer Sharif dargah along with his late wife and former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto in 2005.

Released from jail, Zardari had come to the shrine and spent 30 minutes praying.
Benazir Bhutto was a devout follower of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and had visited the Dargah several times since 1991.
Ms Bhutto had also visited the Dargah in 2003 to pray for the early release of Zardari from jail. The couple's 2005 visit was to offer prayers in thanks for Mr Zardari's release.
