Meet Monique, a hen, who is currently on a global adventure with her human Guirec Soudée. The travel tales of these two sailors have now gone viral on the internet as Mr Soudée posted a video of their journey across North Pole region.

Mr Soudée is a 24-year-old French sailor, who picked up an unusual companion for his global voyage, has been sailing from May 2014. Surprisingly, Monique adapted herself to the sea conditions and even laid eggs throughout the trip.

It's amazing to see how this travel enthusiast hen loves to skateboard, surf and scan through the deck. Watch the video of their journey through the tough terrains of Greenland below:

During the journey, the two travelling buddies spent four months in Greenland as winter prisoners without communication and survived on rice and corn.

They now plan to cross the NorthWest passage in the Artic Ocean, and Mr Soudée will be the youngest person to attempt this feat with Monique. If they successfully accomplish this journey, Monique will be the first hen in the world to reach this extreme region.
