Narendra Modi returns to rousing reception in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi returned to a rousing welcome in Ahmedabad after being elevated as head of BJP's election campaign committee for the 2014 polls, at the Goa meet.

Scores of party workers and Modi supporters made a beeline at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) where the chief minister landed on Sunday evening.

Mr Modi was anointed as the election panel head of BJP by party president Rajnath Singh at the national executive conclave that concluded in Panaji on Sunday.

With a musical band playing in the backdrop, Mr Modi addressed his supporters and party workers outside the airport. "Because of people's love, support and faith in me, Gujarat has earned the name not only in the whole country, but the world," Mr Modi said.

Gujarat has carved out its own unique identity. Because of continuous win in successive elections, BJP's national leadership has thought that the country should also get benefit of this, he added.
