Czech woman found murdered in Goa

A 24-year-old Czech woman was found murdered in a guest house at Baga beach village in Goa, while her 19-year-old boyfriend was found in an unconscious state at Thivim, police said on Wednesday.

The incident took place on Tuesday night. Calangute Police recovered the body of Czech national, Narkela Horka (24) from the guest house at Baga, in the early Wednesday morning after they found her boyfriend Paval Nauhasl (19), also a Czech, unconscious at Thivim, a village next to Mapusa town in Panaji.

Police Inspector Nilesh Rane said the boyfriend claimed to have been kidnapped by two people from the guest house where he was staying with the woman.

A case of murder has been registered and probe is on to solve the mystery behind the sequence of events.

Two unidentified people who reportedly took away the boyfriend are also being searched for.

The teenager who was found at Thivim was initially admitted to a government run hospital in Mapusa following which his statement was recorded in which he disclosed about his girlfriend.

Police who did a routine check at the guest house found the girl dead, with injury marks on her neck.

The body has been sent for postmortem.
