North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks in Beijing earlier this week. The two leaders were in the Chinese capital to attend a major military parade, marking 80 years since the end of World War II.
Following the high-stakes meeting, an intriguing moment involving their security personnel was caught on camera.
A video showed Putin's bodyguard subtly intercepting Kim Jong Un's security, who tried to approach from behind. The fleeting but significant moment highlighted how, despite the friendly relations between the two countries, their security is always on its toes, guarding their leaders.

Following the meeting, Kim's aides undertook extreme measures to eliminate any traces of his presence. Videos that surfaced online showed Kim's staff scrubbing down every surface the leader had touched.
The chair's backrest was polished, its armrests wiped, and even the side table cleaned. His drinking glass was taken away on a tray to erase any possible DNA or biological material from the location.
"After the negotiations, the staff accompanying the head of the DPRK carefully destroyed all traces of Kim's presence," Russian journalist Alexander Yunashev reported on his channel Yunashev Live.
He added, "They took away the glass from which he drank, wiped the upholstery of the chair and those parts of the furniture that the Korean leader touched."
The reason behind Kim's extreme precautions remains unclear, with speculation pointing to fears of Russian or Chinese surveillance. But Kim isn't the only one taking steps to protect his biological footprint.
Similar treatment has been noted for Putin, whose security is known to collect his urine and faecal matter in sealed bags to prevent foreign analysis of his health.
At the Beijing talks, Kim Jong Un expressed solidarity with Russia. He said, "If there is anything I can or must do for you and the Russian people, I consider it my duty as a fraternal obligation."
Putin also thanked North Korea for deploying troops to Ukraine, where reports indicate nearly 2,000 of the 13,000 Kim Jon Un's soldiers have died.
Moscow and Pyongyang have strengthened their alliance with a 2024 mutual defence pact, marking a decades-long high in their relationship.
