New Delhi:

A bizarre video from Russia has gone viral on social media, showing a passenger waiting in queue to board a flight - naked.

The video shows passengers waiting in line to board a flight while the man, fully nude, stands in the queue patiently and oblivious to others around him, waiting for his turn to hop on the plane. He can even be seen crossing himself several times as the line slowly moved ahead.

The video clip also shows the man kiss what looked like a locket around his neck as he crossed himself, perhaps praying.

His fellow passengers standing ahead of him hardly seem bothered by the man's nudity for most part of the viral video.

Russian local media reported that the man was trying to board a Ural Airlines plane to Crimea at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport.

The naked man was stopped by the airport staff before he could board. He was then detained by police and handcuffed on the floor.

Local media reported that the man insisted that he was naked as "clothes make body aerodynamics worse" so "it's easier to fly" nude.

Local media also quoted a witness saying that the man was not drunk. The witness claimed that the man strip in public before he calmly stood in queue to board Ural Airlines's U6 525 flight, reports said.

The Russian Interior Ministry said that the man, 38, is a native of Yakutsk but lives in the Moscow region. It said that the man was taken to the airport's medical room, from where he was hospitalised.
