Pakistan accuses India of funding Taliban
Islamabad, New Delhi: Pakistan has now accused India of funding the Taliban. Interior Minister Rehman Malik said on Monday that India is giving money to Taliban fighters along the Afghan border.

Malik says he's "convinced" that India is among "certain hostile agencies" backing the Taliban to destabilise Pakistan. "I have no doubt about it," reaffirms Rahman.

Absolutely not, says India. "We want Talibanism and the Taliban to be totally eliminated," said Minister for External Affairs SM Krishna.

The Pakistani government is currently in the middle of a huge operation to bomb Taliban strongholds in South Waziristan. The country has seen a series of terror attacks by the Taliban in the last few weeks - most of them directed against police and army centres.

More than a hundred people have died in the attacks, which have covered Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Kohat.
