London:
A British man infected with the deadly Ebola virus has been released from a London hospital after making a full recovery.
William Pooley, who had worked as a nurse treating Ebola patients in Sierra Leone, on Wednesday thanked the Royal Free Hospital staff for its successful treatment of his case. He had been cared for in a special isolated unit.
He said he was "wonderfully lucky" to have survived.
The 29-year-old was flown back to Britain on Aug. 24.
The Ebola outbreak has been centered in West Africa in the countries of Liberia, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Nigeria.
