Worms, Roaches, Fungus: Are India's Food Safety Standards Failing Consumers?

Worms in sandwiches, cockroaches in kitchens, fungus on ingredients, expired stock and reports of rotten meat have put food safety under the spotlight. Recent raids and complaints across cities have raised concerns about restaurants, hotels, cloud kitchens and food delivery establishments. With eating out and ordering in becoming part of everyday life, the big question is whether India's food safety standards are keeping pace or whether consumers are being left to take a leap of faith with every meal.
