Vijay Pushes 'Tamil First' Resolution In Assembly, Backs State Anthem Priority
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay moved a resolution in the Assembly proposing that the state anthem, Tamil Thai Vazhthu, be sung first at official events. Calling it a symbol of Tamil identity and pride, Vijay said the sanctity of the mother tongue must be protected, while the DMK backed the move and suggested giving it legal status.
