Two people were rescued after a JCB excavator got stranded in the swollen Mandakini River in Uttarakhand's Gangnagar area following a sudden rise in the water level. SDRF, water police and local authorities launched a swift rescue operation, safely evacuating the driver and his assistant before the situation turned fatal.
