Ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, Union Minister Piyush Goyal outlined the BJP-led Mahayuti's vision for Mumbai, calling it India's economic capital that must be governed with world-class infrastructure and efficient civic services. Speaking to NDTV, Goyal said a "triple-engine government" would focus on permanent solutions to long-standing problems such as flooding, poor roads and sewage treatment. He criticised the earlier Shiv Sena-led civic administration for mismanagement, claiming that key projects were stalled for decades.
