While there have been demands for a retest from several quarters, the education ministry has maintained the incidents of NEET paper leak were localised, and by cancelling the exam it cannot jeopardise the careers of lakhs of candidates who cleared the test fairly. The Supreme Court adjourned till July 18 the hearing of a clutch of petitions seeking cancellation, re-test and probe into alleged malpractices in the conduct of exam.
