T20 World Cup News | ICC Rejects Bangladesh Demand To Shift World Cup Matches From India: Sources

Sources tell NDTV that the International Cricket Council has rejected the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s demand to shift World Cup matches out of India and has issued a clear ultimatum, play the tournament in India or risk forfeiting points. The decision was conveyed during a virtual meeting between ICC officials and the BCB, with senior officials present in Mumbai. The development comes ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup, set to begin on February 7. While the Bangladesh Cricket Board has not officially confirmed the ultimatum, sources say the ICC cited logistical challenges, broadcast commitments, and tournament integrity in rejecting any venue change.
