Stock Market News | Sensex Crashes 1,500 Points, Rupee Hits Fresh Low Amid Hormuz Uncertainty
The Nifty50 and the Sensex opened on a negative note amid weak global cues. While the Sensex was trading at 73,080.35, down 1452.61 points at 9:17 am, Nifty50 was down 412.40 points at 22,702.10. Earlier, Asian markets also declined. Japan's Nikkei 225 and South Korea's Kospi were trading 3.3 per cent and 4.6 per cent down, respectively. Last Friday, the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 1.51 per cent and 0.96 per cent down, respectively.
