Rupee Has Been Falling Since Independence": BJP Leader's Defence
"Ever since Independence, the rupee has been falling against the dollar. We have gone through the toughest time recently, and performed phenomenally good. The highest fall in the rupee came during the Manmohan Singh tenure," Professor Gobardhan Das, BJP leader, said, defending the fall in rupee as something that has been happening for decades.
