RSS Leader Compares Bengal To Bangladesh, Flags Minority Concerns

An RSS leader Jisnu Basu has drawn a controversial comparison between West Bengal and Bangladesh, claiming that Bengal is heading towards a situation similar to its neighbouring country. The RSS leader alleged that while intellectuals in West Bengal have been vocal about developments in Gaza, they have remained silent on the alleged persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh. Raising concerns over the condition of minority Hindus there, he said such incidents have been continuing for years but are not receiving adequate attention from mainstream media or civil society in Kolkata.
