"Restore Tamil Anthem Convention": 21 INDIA Bloc MPs Write To Governor Rajendra Arlekar

Amid the controversy over the rendering of Tamil Nadu's state anthem, Tamizh Thai Vaazhthu, 21 INDIA bloc MPs have written to Governor Rajendra Arlekar seeking the restoration of the long-standing convention of playing the Tamil anthem at the beginning of university and government functions. The move comes after a recent dispute over the state song being rendered after the National Anthem and Vande Mataram.
