DMK Functionary Among Six Booked Over Alleged Fraudulent Registration Of Srirangam Temple Land
A DMK functionary and five others have been booked over the alleged fraudulent registration of 7,515 sq ft of Srirangam temple land. The FIR alleges cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy, with three sale deeds valued at ₹2.9 crore. HR&CE Minister S Ramesh has alleged illegal transfer of temple land, while Ramkumar has denied the charges and said the ownership dispute is pending before the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court.
