The Vande Mataram row has intensified after the BJP passed a 10-point resolution opposing the Congress decision to sing only two stanzas of the national song. At a party meeting chaired by BJP president Nitin Nabin, party leaders recited all six stanzas and said the full song represents India's national consciousness and the legacy of the freedom struggle. Meanwhile, Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge has challenged BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, to sing the full Vande Mataram without a teleprompter.
