Rekha Gupta Leads Mahila Mashal Jaloos, Slams Opposition Over Women's Reservation Bill Failure

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta leads the 'Mahila Mashal Jaloos' as BJP protests against the opposition over the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill failing in the Parliament. CM Rekha Gupta said that after years of waiting, there was hope that women would finally receive the 33% reservation and be able to participate in national decision-making by reaching the Legislative Assembly and the Lok Sabha. However, she criticized opposition parties for presenting what she described as misleading arguments and engaging in deceit, claiming that their actions—driven by family politics—show they do not want ordinary women to rise. She added that women would never forget this humiliation and are now demanding answers as well as their rightful share in representation.
