Prime Minister Narendra Modi began Day 2 of his Kyrgyzstan visit by paying floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi in Bishkek, where he unveiled Gandhi’s bronze statue during his 2015 visit. Modi’s packed schedule includes crucial bilateral meetings with the leaders of Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Iran and Russia ahead of the SCO Summit. The talks are expected to focus on the West Asia crisis, Russia-Ukraine war, terrorism, connectivity and strategic autonomy. India is also expected to push for dialogue, diplomacy, free connectivity and a firm stand against terrorism.
