Noted writer UR Ananthamurthy, who had earlier said he would leave India if Narendra Modi became PM, was placed under police protection at his Bangalore home after he received abusive calls and emails. Ananthamurthy says he had spoken out of emotion and corrected his stand, but it seemed Narendra Modi's supporters would not let it go. He spoke to NDTV in Bangalore about how he would prefer a supple country to a strong country.
