It has been a tough New Year for men posted in the border areas, particularly after the standoff with Pakistan. As the world ushers in the New Year, Deva Singh of the Border Security Force will be getting ready to head to one of the remote outposts on the Indo-Pak border in Munnabao. Deva too had hopes of seeing his family in the New Year, but the tension between India and Pakistan put a break to those plans. Deva's leave was cancelled.
