Given the delays in the legal process and poor conviction rate, rehabilitation and healing cannot happen till justice delivery is not improved, says Sunitha Krishnan, Co-founder, Prajwala. To this Dr Nimesh Desai, Director, Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences added that mental health support overlooks the needs of the victim's families and even social milieu plays a role in the healing process.
