Government-Backed Child Safety Summit Launches AI Tool To Combat Trafficking

In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Prosperity Futures Child Safety Tech Summit brought together policymakers, political leaders, technologists, academics, and media professionals to explore how technology can be leveraged to protect children from crimes such as trafficking, online abuse, and child marriage. Organised by the Child Protection Network-Just Rights for Children and backed by the government, the summit-affiliated with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology-also saw the launch of Raksha, an AI-powered tool designed to enable real-time mapping of trafficking and child marriage hotspots, identify vulnerable children and communities, and track emerging exploitation patterns.
