The fragile connectivity between Kullu and Manali has once again been severed after the temporary bridge over the Manalsu River collapsed due to a sudden rise in water levels. The collapse has disrupted travel and relief operations, with nearby riverside homes suffering extensive damage. Old Manali has been hit particularly hard, with heavy rainfall causing widespread destruction. Additionally, the crucial Manali-Leh route has also been cut off, further isolating the region and compounding the challenges for residents and authorities.
