Trump Hosts King Charles III, Queen Camilla At White House For State Dinner

King Charles III embraced some of Washington’s most formal ceremonial trappings on Tuesday, as he sought to emphasize a bond between the United Kingdom and the United States that is so strong it can withstand the political turmoil of the moment. The king, accompanied by Queen Camilla, began his day with a meeting at the White House with President Donald Trump. The King then addressed the U.S. Congress, the body’s first address from a British monarch since Queen Elizabeth II ’s in 1991.
