BJP president Nitin Gadkari, confronting corruption charges, offered to resign tonight at a meeting with the senior-most leaders of his party. LK Advani, who he met with alone before consulting with other colleagues like Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, said that is not needed, and that Mr Gadkari should continue in office till his term expires in December.
