After severely indicting the Government in its report on the multi-crore scam in the Commonwealth Games, the government's auditor itself is now under the scanner. The Shunglu Committee appointed by the Centre to look into the financial irregularities surrounding the Games has slammed the author of the Comptroller & Auditor General's report, Roy Mathrani. Mr Mathrani was, in fact, in charge of a Games project in the Delhi University which was found to have major irregularities.
