In an effort to solve the power crisis in Tamil Nadu, the J Jayalithaa-led AIADMK government had a number of demands for the Prime Minister and topping her agenda was the power crisis. While the power demand in the state is around 11,500 MW, the supply is only around 7,300 MW.
