Dramatic scenes unfolded in the Tamil Nadu Assembly after DMK legislators staged a sit-in protest demanding that Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay's remarks be removed from the Assembly record. As sloganeering intensified and members moved towards the Speaker's chair, Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar ordered their removal.
